What is Groovy Gamer?
This Group Reserved for all the gamers out there with Pets. We may be geeks, we may be IT Pros, we may be Husbands, Wives, Fathers, and Mothers but we're also Gamers and we Love our Pets!

Karla said… - That is a great suggestion! I'll bring it up on my end as well. I know we're somewhat limited because the software isn't our own - it's developed and managed by Ning, a third party site where anyone can create an online community. So for now we're limited to the technology they provide. But they may have a photo solution like the one you've described that we just need to implement. We'll see!

- Hiya! So I'm definitely not on the technical side of My.Arfie but my coworkers tell me the easiest way to share images with a group is to upload them in a group discussion. When you go to type your message, you'll see an icon for a camera at the top of the text box. When you click that, you have the option to upload a lcoal file or pull from the image's URL if it's already hosted somewhere on the Web. That should allow you to upload photos so they appear along with your text. Plus, you can upload multiple images in one text box. I hope that helps!

- We lost our Old English Sheep Dog, Vegas, after 15 years. Within 2 weeks the kids were begging for another puppy. So was the Wife... So, we found Bella at a Rescue Shelter in SC called Lucky Dog Rescue. Bella is everything we needed and we love her dearly!

Groovy Gamer was originally born from the needs expressed by the members of my Google Group (XBOX 360 Incentives & Rewards). For nearly 2 years the Google Group has served as a gathering place of sorts for more than 500 of our members. When I created the Group, my intention was to provide detailed, helpful information on the numerous free gaming and incentive programs running rampid on the net. For months I struggled to nail down a program that would actually follow-through with the claims made by said program. After weeding out the bad apples and compiling a ton of useful information on the actual "real" programs, I launched the Group. Within the first 2 months more than 200 new members joined our ranks. Before long, the group was ranked as the 4th largest on Google. Obviously this could not have been accomplished without the help of all of our members. And thanks for that.
April 1, 2009 will begin a new era for our members as I open the doors (if you will) to the Brand New, Super-Duper, Major Kewl Groovy Gamer Web Site. While the Site's primary focus will remain on Free Gaming Gear programs and alike, the new Site has given me many more avenues to explore for our Gaming Community. With this new CMS design, I can provide everything from the latest News updates and feeds surrounding the Gaming World, to a full featured online Arcade sporting FREE games for all members. I've also added the Community Builder component to allow for full community member integration across the entire site. Members can now create and maintain their own personal profiles which will follow them across all modules of the site. With profile sections dedicated to the XBOX 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, and PC, members now have the ability to list the games they play, their online identities and tons more information which can be used by other members to find gamers with common interest in games, platforms, and more. Most recently, I've added LIVE HOT DEALS feeds to ensure our members get in on the Hotest Deals while they're still available.
This is just a taste of what I've got in the works for the Groovy Gamer Site and its members. This is a very exciting time and those who register first will benefit most.

First Weekend on the Lake - 2009
Well it finally got around to warming up this past weekend. Even if it were ONLY for the weekend. The winds on Saturday morning were fairly heavy but by noonish, things had calmed down quite a bit.
