If the dog is a pure bred and she makes the mistake of giving the new owners the papers that prove it then they can use the documents or sell them to a puppy mill. Most rescue people know about this. Some people adopt dogs to get the papers.

Mrs. Davila, One important thing to do is to destroy the dogs akc papers if it has them. Also, do the right thing and make sure the dog is spayed or neutered before it is adopted.

I have only met two Feists in my life and they were different in appearance. One looked like a Jack or a Parsons and the other looked like a Fox Terrier crossed with a Bull Terrier.

I am a Pet Sitter with a long time and loving family of clients.
- Optional: Tell us a little about your pets (names, ages, breeds):
- Henry James is my big, blond, complicated Cairn Terrier. He was adopted 9/10/01 at one yr old.
Robbie Burns is my mixed bag of little dog breeds. He is every shade of gray. He was found on the streets of Jersey City and adopted on 1/25/06.
- Optional: What are your pets' favorite things to do?
- Henry like to sit in his nice big fenced in yard and survey his domain ...then roll around on his back and howl with delight.
Robbie is all about tennis balls. He even sleeps with one in his mouth. All guests must throw the ball at least once.
They both love their doggie friends to come and play.
- Optional: What are their "pet peeves"?
- Henry cannot deal with cell phone beeps, sneezing or hiccups. He just falls apart.
Robbie hates our Monday ritual of picking up all of the balls in the yard so that Pete the landscaper can mow and blow on Tuesday morning.
- Optional: What are their best tricks?
- Henry sits up straight and howls like an opera singer.
Robbie can eat soup from a spoon like a human (not licking and slurping) without spilling a drop.
- Optional: How did your pets become part of your family?
- Adoption.
Henry was to be put down because he was "untrainable" and Robbie was living off of scraps in an abandonded garage.
