HEY GLEN--THNK U SO MUCH! I'M THINKING THE FOLLOWING IS GOOD ENOUGH...WHAT DO YOU THINK?
This letter is to verify that as of the day of 02/16/2010, I have (re-homed) transferred ownership of “dog name” a cream/white, 9 month old Malti-Poo to “owner name”. I have agreed to relinquish current and up-to-date vaccination paper work to “owner name” with the understanding that she would have to re-license “dog name” within 30 days from re-homed date as stated above.
((THEN I GUESS WE BOTH SIGN IT)))

What your friend needs to do is to write a note stating that they are transferring ownersdhip to the person(name) and date. They, the new owner, needs to take that to their local dog licensing department and they will need to re-license the dog in their name. They must do this within 30 days of the dated transfer. I have transferred ownership on two dogs and both times this is what the Animal control requested.

Hello pet lovers! I have a scenario that hopefully someone here would actually know what to do. I am helping a friend give her puppy away to a new home...is there anything my friend needs to do as far as legally? I already told her to give them the vaccination papers (in which) is up to date and dog license on the collar. What i really want to know is, does my friend have to call the licensing place (or anything else) to change the name to the NEW owners? My friend is afraid that if the dog does something ( for example, bite someone)... can she get into trouble since all the paperwork is still in her name??? I think this is a legitimate concern to have. I hope someone is knowledgeable enough to give me feedback on this matter, thank you very much everyone.

Hello, I have some puppies here that have ended up with a stomach virus. I have them on flagyl and also subqueing fluids. One is doing terrific but the other took a little dive and cannot keep anything down. since it is the holiday I will not be able to go to the vet till morning. He was born 10/09.09, seems alert but my concern is that his sugar level can drop as he roughly weighed 5 lbs. when this started. His breed is 3/4 poodle and 1/4 Bichon. My question is to all, "Is there a way that I can subque some type of sugar(or anything) into the line when administering fluids that will jelp his levels stay up? He was doing good but he ate and I truly believe it was too soon as he did eat some hard food as well. There has been another dog or two in the litter that came down with the same symtoms and they are doing fine as their parvo tests were negative. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

My dog's random leg pain is actually a torn ACL (or almost torn- no surgery needed yet). Thankfully no x-rays were required, it was only a little trauma for him. It must be fairly common because my vet had a little dog knee model on hand to describe the issue to me. He just needs to NOT run, jump, or climb stairs for 6 weeks. This is a challenge, but knowing that it will avoid surgery and that he'll be fine later makes the trouble worth it. She also recommended glucosamine and fish oil pills, I'll give them a try. My little athlete and his knee problems:)

I often run my hands over my puppy just to check her body and skin for anything. I was told once before, to know your dog's body so you can spot things that are out of the normal. The other day I noticed a small sist like bump under her skin of her right cheek. It was hard to the touch and about the size of half a pencil eraser. It was not sensitive to her and didn't seem to bother her at all when touched it and poked at it. Then last night I was petting her again and noticed another little sist type thing behind her right ear. It is a little smaller then the one on her cheek but the same hardness and under the skin. I also found yet a third little bump on the underside of her left ear. I have never seen them before and they only happened in the last few days. My mom thinks they are bug bites but they are not red or anything like that, just hard little bumps under the skin.
Does anyone know anything about what they could be? I am keeping watch of them to see if they swell or start to hurt her. She is my first dog so I have never seen this before.

I did call my vet, who remembers Watson as the crazy dog, but she wants to see him because it could be a bone something-or-other. I was just really hoping it would be something simple because its symptoms were so mild. I'll post what the bone thing is after I get the info.
