Boxers seem to have a lot of energy. They also display it in various ways. Mine seem to enjoy playing "keep away". One finds something outdoors and simply runs with it while the other tries to catch it. If caught, they simply take turns.

I am glad things worked out well. I only take mine on short "field trips". but she seems to like them as much as I do. We have a doggie park close by so might give it a try soon. She is quite friendly and has had no problems yet. We have two boxers at home, and they seem to keep each other entertained.

My trip to Cambria with my boxer went so well. He went to his first doggie park. He had no problems with it . He really enjoyed it and soon I plan to take him to our neighborhood doggie park. Everyone who met him fell in love with him. He was so well behaved. Cambria, CA. has many pet friendly hotels.

The white boxer we have is a super friend but needs sunscreen in sunny weather. We live in Utah, so are just starting our cooler season. The boxers got to run in the snow for a biit, today, and can seem to take a little of the coolness once in a while. They are a little older now and sort of understand the sunny areas and the shady ones in warm weather.

Sorry I am npt able to be a lot of help in the taravel department When I used to travel it was alone. I now take mine when I can when doing simple errands around town. It is just local stuff and not even close to traveling. I hope you are able to keep us posted as to how your trip turned out. Jay

I'm traveling with with my boxer for the first time. We're only going away for a few days and driving. We're staying at a pet-friendly hotel. Any suggestions to make our trip as enjoyable as it can be.

Hey thanks Jay for the welcome and the boxer tidbits! I am also happy to see that your white dog also has pink on the neck and chest and in the groin area. I was worried that Lillie was suffering in some way, as often it appears inflamed. One thing I enjoy the most about her is when she wants to tell me how happy she is, she chases her tail. Then she stops quickly and lowers the front part of the body like a challenge to my Carin, except that she's laughin at this point. Then he jumps her and they do it together! It's hysterical in my small hallway, as we are tryin to get out the door for out walk!

Welcome to our group. True, we are rather small. but nothing says we are not able to be the most active. We also have a white boxer, and she seems to whine some. Boxers are a "people" dog, and seems to not like being separated from folks. Once she is around people, the whining stops. Why don;t we make a few comments about our animal friends, and the seemingly cute ( or frusreating) things they do. Mine likes to sleep on herback, and when awake tends to enjoy getting into the dirty laundry. It is tough to make a house "dog proof" so we all do as good as we can. They are super animals, and a joy to have. I buy lots of boxer books, and some of the information fits mine to a tee. Let's hear fom other members about the dog antics we seem to endure. Later, Jay.

Boxer talk
I am living with my first boxer, she is a young, white, deaf pup who at present is a rescue. She has not really ever had a home as I think others felt her untrainable due t o the hearing loss. Silly if that's it,as she is very bright and knows hands signals. I am trying to help her be a better adoptee and wonder why she whines almost all the time in the house. I have given her some rescue remedy to help with her anxiety but she continuse to cry often. boxer thing? or more due to her past? appreciate any info
